Deaf Equestrian Program
We believe that horseback riding should be accessible to all, and our program is designed to create a welcoming space where Deaf and Hard of Hearing riders can thrive. Whether students are new to equestrian sports or seeking to expand their skills, our Deaf Equestrian Program offers a supportive and enriching experience that prioritizes inclusivity, education, and the joy of
riding.
Students will learn the fundamentals of natural horsemanship, focusing on understanding equine behavior, body language, and effective communication. Through hands-on instruction, they will practice groundwork, grooming, and tacking, developing a strong foundation. With guidance from knowledgeable instructors fluent in ASL, riders will gain essential skills on the horse in balance, posture, and control while fostering trust between themselves and their horse.
