Welcome to the Specialty Lesson Program

The Specialty Lesson Program at Sarajevo Stables is a unique, invitation-only opportunity designed for riders who would benefit from a more focused and customized lesson experience. Riders are selected for this program based on their dedication, progress, and individual needs, allowing us to provide instruction that best supports their goals.

This program includes two specialized tracks:

  • Performance Track – For riders looking to refine their skills in jumping, dressage, and advanced horsemanship.

  • Adaptive Track – For riders who will thrive with a more tailored approach to their lessons, ensuring they gain confidence and success in their riding journey.

Through this program, students receive one-on-one coaching, structured lesson plans, and a training approach designed specifically for them. Whether focusing on performance goals or simply finding a learning style that works best, this program is about helping each rider grow in the way that suits them best.

If you’ve been invited to join, it means we believe this program will help you progress and succeed in ways beyond our standard lesson structure. Below, you’ll find details on scheduling, expectations, and next steps.

Lesson Structure & Expectations

Each specialty lesson is designed to provide a focused, one-on-one experience that meets the unique needs of the rider. Lessons follow a structured format to ensure consistency and progress.

Lesson Duration

  • Ride time will be approximately 45 minutes but may vary based on the day's focus.

  • Riders will also be asked to assist with horse care and basic farm responsibilities before and/or after their lesson as part of their learning experience.

Horse Preparation

  • Most lessons will take place at the show barn, but depending on availability, some may be held at the farm.

  • Instructors will typically have the horse brought over and prepared before the lesson, but riders may be expected to assist with tacking up or untacking as part of their learning experience.

Progress & Goals

  • Each rider will have personalized goals based on their program track.

  • Instructors will track progress and adjust lessons as needed to ensure continued improvement.

Commitment to Learning

  • Specialty lessons are designed for dedicated riders who take their training seriously.

  • Riders should arrive on time, ready to focus, and prepared to engage in all aspects of their horsemanship. Effort and consistency are key to success in this program.

Pricing & Payment

  • Specialty Lessons: $75 per lesson

  • Payment is due at the time of the lesson unless otherwise arranged.

  • Cash or check payments can be placed in the deposit box at either the farm or the show barn. Checks should be made out to Miracle Horses.

Scheduling & Availability

  • Lesson days and times will be assigned by Ilana based on instructor availability and student needs. Once scheduled, lessons will take place on the same day and time each week unless an adjustment is approved.

  • Students will be put in direct contact with their instructor for day-of communication (running late, weather concerns, etc.).

  • If a student needs to reschedule within their instructor’s available days, they may arrange it directly with their instructor. However, lessons cannot be moved to another instructor or outside the instructor’s assigned days.

  • If a scheduling conflict arises and a different day is needed beyond the instructor’s designated days, contact Ilana first to discuss options.

    Instructor Lesson Days:

  • Hannah: Tuesdays & Wednesdays

  • Summer: Fridays & Sundays
